Great New Game Just Released

http://207.44.164.159/phpBB/viewforu...747b4ced86f2f8

This sim has one of the best AI's ever, and is lots of fun. Not for those who want"shooter type games though"

Here's a link to the Website
http://www.battlefront.com/products/dw/features.html

It can only be ordered from Battlefront...and as of now is getting stellar reviews. Not a the kind of game you can just pck up and learn overnight..but well worth it if you study the manual and ask questions on the Subsim.com boards. This could be THE Game of the Year.

Yes but much much better, and much more updated. It is the third in the series. Attack Sub was first, Sub Command was second in 2001, and now DW is out.

Sweet! My brother and I were talking about games that should be updated. Something like this would be awesome for multiplayer.

The word "awesome" doesn't do the multiplayer justice.

Game does have a few warts on release but nothing gamestopping for me yet. Learning curve will be *very* steep if your not familiar with the series, I think.

If anyone else picked up the game theres already some custom scenarios out, including a couple training missions: http://www.subguru.com/ . (also some good files on sub tactics in the "general download" area.

Darn. I want an aircraft carrier sim.

That way I can relive my times of sleeping on the O8 level.

That game was awesome. I spent many an hour on a 286 playing that in the day. I'm going to have to pick this up in the near future.

This game does look pretty swank. I had some fun tooling around with Sub Command.

I've got to fight the urge and just wait on Silent Hunter 3 though.
