Week 10 Overview

We travel to Tulane as 7 point underdogs. Tulane is 3-4 like we are. I am moving into the 4-6, bringing the saftey up, I will focus on Man and Bump and run, and if we do zone, it will be a cover 3.

Week 10 Injury Report

Lewis and his hammy still.

Carruth had a huge day against Houston, that is a shame it went for naught. Good luck against the Green wave!

Not much to say....I think my job here is now officially in jeopardy. This game was ours, Drake couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with an elephant today.

Week 11 Overview

We invite 34th ranked Louisville into the Liberty Bowl, we are only 3 point underdogs. We are travelling poorly this season, and I do not know how to handle it.

Anyways, the changes we made last week worked, Teppers racked up 3.5 sacks, lets hope he can do it this week as well.

Week 11 Injury Report

We finally took a beating in the injury realm, mainly TE

Week 11 Recruiting Report

We had the following recruit sign elsewhere:

TE Lincoln Fletcher - Auburn

However, a big day with 3 very decent recruits. They are all within the top 100 of their respective positions:

Code:

He will be a good hole plugger on Offense for the blitz and opening them up on the runs.

Code:

I think it is. But the hidden talent here is amazing, we have to work on his attitude and school work, he is going to get one chance here, and if he can't hack it, better luck to him somewhere else.

Code:

This kid is a hard worker with a great attitude, and did I mention he is BIG.

Week 12 Overview

ESPN+ follows us as we play East Carolina. We are on the road, which hasn't fared well for us lately. Also, East Carolina are 6-3 overall and 4-2 in the conference. The line up to kick off is we are 14 point underdogs. Looking at some of the injuries, I can see why.

We were finally able to do what I have been preaching all season long. Four full quarters, control the clock.

It worked well. Plus, S Eric Ralph playing out of his mind helped.

Carruth again, is a solid guy, I think he will stay next season, but the scouts are already out there for him. He is in the Top 15 in rushing this season. And Drake is proving, when he can focus, he can lead us.

Week 13 Overview

We are sitting at 5-5 and have a 1-9 Alabama-Birmingham coming to the Liberty Bowl, it has taken me a couple of seasons to realize the rivalry, but I hate this team with a passion, and I want to take it out on them majorly.

This is our chance at a winning season, and even a glimmer of hope at a bowl game.

What a scrappy game, several fights broke out, and this thing went into double OT.
But, we finish the season as winners, and I have my first winning season since coming here.

Week 13 Recruiting Report

We have RB Andy James, that said he would walk on to our school, and as soon as I have a scholarship available for him, I will sign him to it. Andy is the #1 RB from Arkansas, and should help back us up well in the Running Game.

Weeks 14 - Bowl Games

We have byes up until the bowl season.

We did not get an invite, which I figured would be the case, next season is bowl or bust for us.

I still do not know if I will have a job at the start of the year, I guess we will find out.

In Week 15, we had another Walk On commit, DE Cedric Lewis.

End Of Season Summary

Penn State walked away with the National Championship

QB Daniel Pourdanesh USC won the Player of the Year Award

Summary

A 6-5 season, not bad, should have been better.

However, after meeting with the AD, I think I am here for a bit longer.

My overall grades (Out of 100)

Team Performance: 74
Academic: 53
Recruiting: 100
Television Revenue: 48
Alumni Donations: 75
Attendance: 27

Final Grade: 62

a 40 point increase over last season, and another top recruiting class. Everyone is happy, especially my wife!

Looking towards next season, the reports are going to be hitting the desk soon.

Thanks Mizzou and BYU14, it was a rough season, always looking over my shoulder and seeing if I was going to get it.
