OOTP6 Question.

Has this happened to anyone else? I have twice played a game that went to extra innings and won. Then the game crashes and when restarted, even though the box score is right and the score in the schedule correct, the standings show it as a loss.

I ran the last patch (6.11) I'm afraid to actually play the damn games now out of fear that I'll win, then lose...

If you are running SP-2 with in-game sound on that is a widely discussed issue on the OOTP board(probably where this post would better fit). The only solution I've seen posted is to either uninstall SP-2 or turn off in-game sound.

It is not just a SP2 issue though. I have tested this with several combinations and it still does this with SP1, patch 6.11 and directx 9.0.

Just turn off "in-game" sound and that will solve your problem.
