OT: Hearts of Iron II is out ... ?
Apparently so, IGN has a review of it located here link is "hXXp". Anyway, they gave it an 8.7 and have some really nice things to say about it, am I the only one who didn't know this game was out?

Right, that and the fact the game was apparently released on the fourth. It's the 11th now and this is the first review I've read of it. Ah well, I'll keep an eye out for it next time I'm at Best Buy.

The new one wasn't very easy to learn, the tech tree was probably the most convuluted and confusing one of any game I've ever seen.
From reports though this one is much more newbie friendly, don't know for sure yet as I still haven't seen it around. Guess I might have to order this one online, doesn't seem like it's getting a real widespread release. |

loved the idea of the game. Never got into HOI 1 because of all the bugs, and by the time it was patched I had moved on to other stuff. If HOI 2 is much better though (especially interested in mini-reviews from other FOFCers) I would definately strongely consider picking it up.

yeah. just took it for a little spin. dissapointed that it has all of the "non-battle" related stuff disabled though. Because combat...sure I get that. Whoopie doo. Click and pick the time and have my forces move in. The issues I had were with production and $$ and balancing all that stuff, and I want to see the changes that they've made to make that better. Oh well, maybe I'll wait till it drops and take a flier on it...
