Ok nevermind, but do you both like the same kind of music? Maybe find a small club or bar that has a decent local/regional band playing. Stuff like that is not too much usually.

Getting to know her better, biblically speaking, the clinic has free condoms- that's cheap, and you can tell alot about someone from what comes out of (or goes into ) their mouth.

I've always found my couch to be the cheapest and most satisfying location for a romantic rendezvous.

Seriously, art museums are good. They let you pretend that you are interested in getting to know her as a person (and they're dirt cheap).

I am the cheap date master. Understand that a date is about the two of you, not what you are doing. With that in mind:

Row out to the middle of a lake and have a quiet picnic.

Build snowmen, snow forts, etc. (Sand castles, mud forts, dams in a creek, whatever, you get the idea)

Play a boardgame or card game.

Most papers have a community bulletin with local events. Find something mutally interesting and attend.

Go garage sale-ing

Do spring cleaning

Find a local coffee shop with a lot of character

Read to her (nothing too long there, Shakespeare)

Rent a movie, but announce that this movie will be the foundation for an intellectual discussion afterwards. Entertainment with a purpose can be a load of fun.

Borrow or use old Laser Tag equipment and play Laser Tag with her.

I have a game I call "Five Questions." We take turns each asking very intimate questions and the other person has to answer completely truthfully.

Do a puzzle together.

Bake something together.

Do a craft together (like painting).

Share favorite songs, where each person chooses some of their favorite songs, and you listen to each in turn, including the reading of any lyrics. Express why you like the song so much.

Play a laid-back sporting activity, like croquet, the illegal lawn darts, badmitton, etc.

Get a camcorder and go out together and film the world. Come back later to watch what you've recorded.

Anxiety's offerings are great ideas. I especially like the picnic idea.

I'd only like to add a couple of suggestions - the Zoo is a great inexpensive date. But depending on where you live they can be expensive. Any science center or art museum would be a good time. Science centers are great especially if they are interactive.

I would stay away from bowling though. Bowling shoes ruin the whole thing. Save that for when you're at the stage where she doesn't care what wears around you anymore.

Well then you won't be going to the Chicken Ranch anytime soon.
Seriously though going on a bike ride or even a walk down the town square or
just coffee. If you want to get to know someone then dont go to the movies....ugh.

-The Beach: Man...if you live near a beach, going with just her can really get things going in the right direction.

-Don't do anything where parking is hard to find, or traffic is bad. It can be a real buzzkill.

-Go shoot some pool, if you know how. Usually girls can't play, so you can teach them.

-Ever been to one of those little shops where you can paint your own ceramics?

-If you both happen to be musically inclined, take her to a record store as *part* of the date. You can tease each other's taste in music.

-Take her to a place where they sell pepper spray, citing the fact that you "just may not be able to keep your hands off of her"

-Take her with you when you get your food stamps/unemployment. This way, she will understand why you are such a cheapass

Take her ice skating.

If you can skate and she can't, then you'll have to teach her. Trust me, it's a lot of fun and she'll have to hold on to you so she won't fall. If neither of you can skate, then you'll both be holding on for dear life, and even if you fall, at least it'll be memorable.

I like to drink sangria in the park and then when it gets dark, to go home. Or to go and feed animals in the zoo, then later, a movie, too. That would be a perfect date.

No no no! Make her skate until she lets you do the one hand lift.

Jamie Sale is yummy and some of the moves she allows to be done to her, just dirty!
