Fumbles or not, I like this guy....

http://www.packersnews.com/archives/...19370314.shtml

Green and his agent almost certainly view him as one of the league’s best backs but his age may scare off the Packers from offering him a signing bonus in the $10 million-or-more range.

When asked if he expects the Packers to offer him an extension this offseason, Green said he wasn’t sure and said he wouldn’t be insulted if they did not.

“It wouldn’t bother me either way,” Green said after Sunday’s season-ending 31-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field in an NFC wild-card game.

The seven-year veteran gave no indication that he would hold out or become malcontented like Mike McKenzie did last offseason before he ultimately forced a trade. He indicated that he would play out the rest of the his contract if an extension could not be worked out.

“I’m at the point in my career where my family is secure, and my kids are secure for the future,” Green said. “Ever since I got drafted in ’98, it was about playing for the love of the game. That’s all I want to do.”

Wish more guys had this attitude.

I think the Pack is at their best when Green carries alot. Tiki Barber shows that technique changes can decrease the fumble rate. Maybe he needs to work out with Tiki this offseason, they have plenty of time.

The Tiki thing might not be so bad. But I have heard many times of how Green has changed this or that, none of it seems to stick though.

Cringer, Tiki had the most fumbles in the league (non-QB) over the prior 3 year span and then fumbled just once or twice all season this year. If he can be 'cured' I imagine anyone can be.

Green fumbles at the begining of every season. It's kinda like Favre, you know he is going to throw some int's, but you take the good with the bad.
The Packers are a lot worse off without Green. Davenport can not stay healthy. Fisher is not an everydown back. The Packers need to find away to keep Green.
