I've had this problem before. The well on my property routinely runs dry. If I don't have time to top of the 3,000 gallon reservoir I have, we can be without water for a day or so until it's trucked out here.
That means no toilets. Earlier this year, it happened. And, well, I had a crap on deck that could choke a donkey. So, I went out back, dug a cathole, took a roll of paper with me, dropped the load, and buried it. Just like the indians used to do. Or something. I dunno. It wasn't pleasant, but overloaded bowels are no picnic, either. |

You'd think someone involved with molecular nanotechnology would remember to top off the reservoir!

Backyard it was. I didnt bury it but i did take a stick and covered it with leaves and stuff. It's way at the back of the property so there should be no odor, but squatting in the rain in a muddy yard and trying to do your do is not fun.

Dola, my problem is that whenever it rains the toilet routinley fills up upon flushing and doesnt go down. Well it went down last night so I was all happy. But i came home tonight to find it full again and a pack of opened yeast in the wastebasket. Apparently my grandmother thought it would be a good idea to both go and then to put yeast in the toilet, problem is it wasn't flushing down very fast and im sure it's clogged, so now i need a guy with a snake to come again. I hate this.

Dude, you can get a decent snake at Home Depot for under $20. Learn to take care of this shit yourself - you'll feel like more of a man, and you'll save a lot of money.
Congrats on the outdoor toilet adventure. You've now properly marked your territory. |

I can, but its more than a cloggin problem. When it rains the toilet just wont go down. The clogging was secondary. The last time the guy was here he said he thinks that the low flush toilet is the culprit so I gave him some cash and told him to pick me up one, im expecting it this week. Im hopefull that it works, cause this El Nino crap is supposed to bring a warm and wet winter to the Northeast. |

There will be odor, but it will be undetectable. You live in Jersey, remember?
