FOF Issue that bugs me

Year 2005, Seattle gets outbid for Hasselbeck by Houston.

They start out 0-3 and I look at their roster to see who's at QB now.

They have these 3 studs:
Starter - Erik Henry (19/47)
Dean Harrison (13/37)
Chad Barham (12/39)

All 3 of these guys are 1 year undrafted free agents who were signed for 1 year contracts.

Looking at the free agent Qb's, there are 5 Qb's who have better current ratings:

Vinny Testaverte (30/33)
Trent Dilfer (24/24)
Jeff Blake (22/22)
Doug Pederson (21/22)
Jake Delhomme (20/43)

The Seahawks have $12,690,000 room under cap and $12,920,000 max for new player.

I *REALLY* hope there is a way to program a routine for the AI to check free agency after each week, instead of just when an injury occurs.

btw, Seattle's scout is rated "Good" at Qb's.

dola,

A follow up to this: After thinking about his more in depth, maybe it's not as bad as it seems. Looks like Seattle would rather develop Henry as his potential is much better than the vets in FA. I would get Testaverte though and see if I could win some games. If I was out of the hunt for the playoffs, I would then play Henry.

It's just weird seeing 3 - 1 year undrafted free agents as a team's Qb's.

If this happened in real life, the fans would burn down the stadium.

I don't know if you're personally trying to antagonize Dallas fans, but if you are, please continue.

Yeah, Todd, from this particular example, I don't think it's that eggregious. The veteran FAs aren't that much better than the rookies, and the rookies at least have an upside.

Plus, don't forget you're looking at all these guys through your scout's eyes -- maybe Seattle's scout thinks that these rookies are better than the vets right now.

And has been mentioned, it does indeed sound like the 2002-2003 Dallas Cowboys -- and Texas Stadium is relatively scorch-free.

Hey, Orlando Pace just signed for $670,000 after I couldn't resign him or assign him the franchise tag. I hope Green Bay is happy, what a signing.

I really hope this gets tightened up in the next inclination.
