Probably not much help, but Baltimore has fireworks for New Years.

Ping: Washington D.C. area residents

So, I've just discovered that there are no New Year's Eve fireworks over the mall this year.

Anyplace around D.C. having fireworks? Since I'm in town and all... I thought I'd go out... but I'm not into bars and such.

Yeah, I know about the Baltimore thing... but I'm in Manassas right now... not gonna drive all the way up there. Thanks anyway...

Any other suggestions?

I drove by a big NRA building on 66 last night and figured that must be where your office is.

I'll be in DC today - taking the wife and kids to the Mall to see the museums and such.

Don't forget to go to the Air & Space Museum, including the thingie they have in northern VA.

And if you feel like spending a little money I hear the Spy Museum is really cool (I still have yet to go).

~tk, about 5 miles north of the MD/DC border

Actually, our studio is in Old Town Alexandria. But the big NRA building is very nice. They've got a great range and a very cool firearms museum there.

Well, I'm off to see the Redskins-Vikings game at FedEx Field today... along with my 7-months pregnant Vikings fan of a wife. Be sure to watch... my tickets are in the front row on the visitor's side.
