Player's Union too strong (bug)

I've mailed this to support but I hadn't noticed at that point that its a league wide issue.

In my latest career, I've been doing OK. Just about keeping under the cap whilst fielding a pretty good team.

Then... a guy gets hurt and I need to swap who's activated. I go to my roster management screen and notice that although I have a squad listed there, and although these guys ARE playing for me and do each week, nobody on my team has any salary

Also, I have no signed players or any numbers in the 'active' bit of the screen.

Wow. talk about fucked up.

I mailed it off to support about 3 days ago - I assume Jim's busy (as in VERY busy) and it's holiday season so i figured if a fix was forthcoming, it'd be some time. I thought it might be a good time to change team since how am I going to rebuild the team AND make a profit.

So, I made sure I backed up my entire universe folder and I chose to move to another team. Only to notice that this team too had no signed players. Effectively its a fantasy draft this offseason, but with the requirement to negotiate 53 salaries (gulp).

If anyone wants to see this LIVE, i've put my entire universe folder up at
http://www.davidlearnsgames.com/stuff/universe.zip
its about 4 meg zipped up and 50 unzipped.

grrrr

anyone else seen this?

Yep, I had it happen and even when I started from a backup copy it continued to happen. Sadly the only thing that corrected it was to reformat , but now that I have it has stopped.

Did it happen at the same point every year? or when you loaded an old save was it already in effect?

I don't think it happened at the same time, but eventually it would creep back up. I talked to Jim about it and he hadn't heard of it before. I think that I had a PC crash a few months back and something got corrupted causing it.

Tell me about it, I finally gave in and reformatted and glad I did......but hate it at the same time. I have an external HD backup that I used to restore alot of my stuff though.
