OT-Hattrick-Advice for a big match

Ok, just wrapped up smashing the last place team in my league, and I've now clinched 3rd place. I'm 5 points out of 2nd with matches coming up against #2 this week, and #1 the final week. I just PiC for this match so my guys are feeling pretty good.

Now, I run the (in)famous 4-5-1, the second place guy runs a 4-4-2 and sets both wingers to offensive, my defense is incredible my offense sucks, this guy is solid at forward, and on the wings, but average at inner mid field, and not to good across the board defensively.

How would you line up a 4-5-1 to take advantage of this guys weak defense and offensive approach on the mid-field's wings, without getting torched by his strikers?

I would probably counter by setting my own wingers offensive (assuming they have decent passing skills), and setting my wingbacks to defensive to contain his wingers.

I would also probably leave my own midfielders at normal, or perhaps set one of them to offensive (the one with the best passing skill). With decent midfield play, you should be able to keep the ball away from that dangerous offense.

And since you've got 3rd place locked up, MOTS one of the matches, if not both.

What is the match calculator y'all are talking about? Is it a supporter thing, or an anyone thing?

Whatever happens, just pray your manager doesn't pull back, and go defensive. My idiot has done this 5 times. I've gotten 2 wins, 2 losses, and 1 tie out of it. This is from an 'almost certain win' position, to not winning 3 out of 5 times.

This week, a HUGE must win game for us, we went up 2-0 a mere 25 minutes into the first half. The dim witt went defensive then and there. I saw that, and started pulling my hair out.

Sure enough, in the 87th minute, they evened up the game, dooming us to relegation from div IV.

Going defensive just snatches defeat from the jaws of victory. It's insanely frustrating.
