Does anyone like the new site? I used to go to their site for purely informational purposes and I guess I will have to find a new way to get my scores. I have always held the viewpoint that websites should be mostly content with minimal fluff. Is there anyone who really wants to wait 10 seconds to catch some stupid video advertisment?

You can still get the scores quickly, just click on the link and go to the particular sport.

I dislike the espn motion thing everytime I visit, but just bookmark the page for the sport you want the scores on...
ie, bookmark the nba page instead of the main page. |

I like the new look. I don't know how often I'll watch any of the videos, but the quality of them is just amazing. It's better than anything I've seen stream over the web.

I guess I'm just a broadband snob, because I love motion. I don't have cable, so its a great way for me to get my espn fix.

I would guess that as broadband subscribers increase, all mainstream sites will eventually upgrade to this type of site. Hopefully, high speed prices will drop so that more 56kers will sign up.

Didn't load well before on the ship, and so I've all but quit going there for sports information. It sucks, because I was used to doing going there before I moved onboard.

I use Opera for my browser, so it won't work. It tends to get in the way, and I didn't think the content was that great. I mainly only look at page 2 and Neyer (i think its him) and Stark anyway.

Anytime I open the main page, I'm good to go. I can even go to the sub mains...but should I click on a article...it's over...it'll freeze up. Only website I ever have a problem with.
I usually just copy the link, and kill the espn window (it won't work if I have it open, I have found) and then open a new window and paste the link. That's the only way I can do it, and obviously not very worthwhile.

Of course, that is no consolation for those of us who live in areas without broadband. Last edited by Ryan S : 03-01-2003 at 03:25 PM. |

Sorry to hear Ryan S, I'm surprised broadband isn't everywhere in Scotland. Europe usually seems to be ahead of the U.S. when it comes to distributing communication technology to the masses. I know there's a group lobbying the U.S. Congress to make broadband available everywhere but it's not going anywhere at the moment.
