Shape Puzzle

Quiksand Caveat: This is not my own puzzle, but copied from somewhere else.

I have the following shapes, cut out of a piece of card. They are laid out in this (incorrect) order:

SEMICIRCLE CIRCLE TRIANGLE SQUARE NONAGON PENTAGON HEXAGON CIRCLE

As I've said, this order is flat out wrong. I wish to rearrange them in the proper order. Well actually, I want you to do it for me.

I also have one other shape and I'm not going to tell you what it is but only that it belongs at the bottom of my list of shapes, once said shapes have been rearranged into the correct order.

What is the correct order for my shapes and what shape is missing?

I see your scheme, this is just for the Survivor contest. Anyway, I'm up for bid, I'll join either team in an outside alliance, helping out one team...for a price.
