VB - Imbedded "code" in boxes?

I see that as a result of whatever formatting switch we've made recently, formatted text (using the "code" tag) is now being imbedded into boxes, complete with scroll bars.

I've seen thios before on other VB sites... and my initial response is that I'm not too wild about it - I prefer being able to see everything without monkeying with it.

a) to the admins - is there a compelling reason to make this change?

b) to the community - unless the answer to (a) is yes, would you prefer to go back to seeing all the text from code-tagged text, rather than a scrolling window?

My first response was "cool" as well, however, after looking at it for a bit I realized I like being able to see all the info on the screen at once, instead of having to scroll.

I have not made any changes which would cause this, so I suppose it must be a default setting.

If the majority don't like it, I will look into changing it back to the old style (if this is possible)

It's the package that comes with the complete version of 3.0.0. All I can say is, we are no longer on beta software and that makes me happy.

It also makes me happy, after the problems we had with the beta versions of UBB.

I would really like to see the scroll bars be gotten rid of, if at all possible.

Ugh. *BIG* problem with the scroll bars. When you print out a thread (like, say, a dynasty report that uses the "code" tags, for example), it prints the scroll bars, not all of the contents of the box. This even happens when using "show printable version." This might be a show-stopper issue for some.

Yep, this really annoys me already. Often, I print out the long threads(such as dynastys so that I read it the old fashioned way, and can read it anywhere. If possible, I would vote to go back to the old way.

Did a solution for this ever come about? I'm doing a write up and it looks like ass inside the box.
