Hey.. I'm sure you know the rules, but if you're new:

1. I give question, you guess at the result. 5 closest answers score points (5 for closest, down to 1 for the 5th closest)

2. You're not allowed to do research. This is called GUESSTIMATES for a reason, wise guy

3. Since this is a restart.. there will be 10 Guesstimates today.

The Questions

1. One of the big topics on the board lately, is the European Football (what we call soccer) Championships. Now.. in the first round of qualifying, there were 10 groups of 5 teams, playing a home and home series with each other team in their group. This means approximately 200 games were played. In those 200 or so games, how many goals were scored?

2. There is a site (wwiTV.com) dedicated to providing links to TV stations around the world that provide streaming video. As of June 13th, How many different stations had links on the itv database?

3. Now, we like to claim that FOFC is everywhere. So I took one of the most famous words in FOFC, "dola" and searched for it on Ebay (looked for it in both the title AND the description. As of 5:30 pm on June 19th, how many auctions had the word, or a word beginning with "dola" in the title and/or description?

4. "The Detroit Pistons are one of the unlikeliest NBA Champions in recent history. But the main reason they won is their defense. How many points did they give up in the 23 playoff games they played?"

5. In May 2004, anti-spam provider Brightmail blocked over 100 BILLION pieces of junk email (64 percent of all email scanned). They were able to break it down by category (products, financial, adult, scams, Inernet, Leisure, Fraud, Political and other). What % of this 100 Billion Emails was blatantly illegal? (Fraud or scams)

6. Shrek 2 just became the top grossing movie for '04, outdoing its predecessor. As of this week, how much has Shrek 2 pulled in in gross earnings?

7. Microsoft made an announcement in the past month that it would "lock out" the next service pack against the twenty most use pirate registration keys. But, the company is still kicking major butt on the stock market. What is Microsoft's Market Cap? (The market capitalization (or "cap") of a stock is simply the market value of all outstanding shares and is computed by multiplying the market price by the number of outstanding shares. For example, a publically held company with 10 million shares outstanding that trade at US$20 each would have a market capitalization of 200 million US$.)

8. The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) was recently designated ast the trade show with the highest buying power (figured by the largest percentage of attendees who plan to purchase products exhibited at the show within six months). This year's E3 had over 400 companies offering products, and 540,000 square feet of space. How many people attended E3?

9. The movie Kill Bill had to be split into two volumes, because Quentin Tarantino did not want to cut a lot of his story of the vengeful assassin The Bride's revenge against her former compatriots. What is the total running time of the two "Kill Bill" movies?

10. Sometimes, you feel like doing GOOFY things. Like going to job site "monster.com" and searching for Sex. And then goggling at how many items come up. I did just that. How many jobs out there popped up on monster (as of 6 PM, June 19th), when you search for Sex?
