You have some solid playmakers, passable scorers, and an inad keeper. Better than what I started with.

hey there! Welcome aboard!!!

First things first, stamina training for everybody for at least 3 weeks! You can't demote and there's only 4 weeks left in the regular season. Your form will suck after these three weeks, but you should be able to get it back on track in the following three weeks before the beginning of next season.

Come post on the HT board, we're a fun bunch
Post your team info in the stickied thread, that way you'll get ranked every week...

Good luck!
FM

dola, and as AE said, you have some solid playmakers in there, albeit with no stamina, but you're already in much better shape than I was when I first started...

Welcome!

A very good starting team indeed.

If FFF isn't doing so hot in the cup, then what am I doing?

Cambridge, we're division six
Cambridge, we'll still score more than the Knicks
Cambridge, the only way is up
Cambridge, midfield is the key
Cambridge, but a defender trainer I will be

Oh, I already have my team song (based off the Real Life Cambridge United (my full team name is Cambridge Utd)).

"I've Got a lovely bunch of coconuts" (they play this after every home Cambridge win, originally performed by Danny Kaye)

Down at Barnum's fair
One evening I was there
When I heard a showman
Shouting underneath the flair

Oh, I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts,
There they are all standing in a row.
Big ones, small ones, some as big as your head
Give 'em a twist, a flick of the wrist,
That's what the showman said.

Oh! I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts
Every ball you throw will make me rich.
There stands me wife, the idol of me life,
Singing Roll a bowl a bowl a penny a pitch.
Singing, roll a bowl a bowl a penny a pitch,
Roll a bowl a bowl a penny a pitch,
Roll a bowl a bowl Roll a bowl a bowl
Roll a bowl a bowl a penny a pitch.

You lie !
From Hattrick :
Arena: Cambridge Utd Arena

And the color is the standard beginner hattrick green... You can change that when you get HT Supporter, which incidently I highly recommend after a little while if you see that you like the game. It costs something like $6 for 3 months and gives a lot of little helpful things. It won't help with the game proper, but you can bookmark players or teams to find them easier, you can change your match kit, support 5 other teams, etc...

We're Division Six.. and we suck

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Cambridge Utd Arena saw a crowd turnout of 7000. Cambridge started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. They fielded: Branch - Farnsworth, Miró, Marquínez, Cuero - Whitley, Navarro, Seward, Erwin - Ladner, Ocampo.

Win had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Mccauley - Bräunig, Lundstrand, Jones - Eggenkamp, Pastor, Tarp Sørensen, Reece - Sai-Heng, Tirado, Datorin.

Cambridge were mostly trying to use the flanks for their attacks. With 2 minutes played Huey Branch almost gave the home side the lead with an unexpected free kick set up, but visitors Orville Mccauley was onto it, grabbing the would be break through ball. Cambridge will have to do without Jaime Navarro for a time due to a bad foot injury. He was substituted by Cordell Barron. Win took the lead in the games 8:th minute with 0 - 1 after some elegant plays down the middle. Cole Tirado was the scorer. Scott Reece increased the visitors lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 2. The referee showed Cambridges Jamal Ocampo the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Enrique Pastor sailed high, high above the opponents as he headed the 0-3 in after a corner kick after 23 minutes of play. After 33 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Yu Sai-Heng who increased Win´s lead to 0 - 4. The structure of the game started to change as Win decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. The teams went for a half-time break at 0 - 4. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Win, with an impressive 65 percent possession of the ball.

After 55 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Cole Tirado who increased Win´s lead to 0 - 5. Wins Vincent Jones got himself booked after a foul. Due to a severely mistimed tackle,Pablo Cuero spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. The visitors Enrique Pastor took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side´s goalie and central backs in the 63rd minute. 0 - 6 for Win. Some fine manouvering on the left lead to an 81st minute Win goal, making it 0 - 7. Yu Sai-Heng was noted down as the scorer. The referee showed Cambridges David Marquínez the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The game had been on for 89 minutes when Ari Tarp Sørensen broke through to the right, upping the score to the home crowd´s dismay. Win´s were up 0 - 8. Win held the ball, with a clear 82 percent possession rate.

Most important Cambridge player was Dale Ladner. Juan Esteban Miró was a disappointment, however. Win´s best player was Hans Bräunig. Orville Mccauley was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 8.

Lost 2-0 on the friendly, and had my league game last night against ASU

The 5401 spectators at ASU Arena were in for an afternoon of sunshine. ASU started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Mayes - Browne, Cedrés, Hughes, Gregory - Ellison, Biddle, Stapleton, Reyna - Shipp, Iverson.

Cambridge started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Branch - Farnsworth, Ladner, Barron, Cuero - Seward, Ocampo, Faulk, Marquínez - Keen, Eggleston.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Cambridge. Terrance Hughes got left behind when Cambridge´s Daniel Keen made a sudden pull forward in the 23rd minute, finishing off with a swift strike. 0-1! The referee showed Cambridges Daniel Keen the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. ASU made a substitution in the 35:th minute. Clayton Stapleton limped off the field and was replaced by Jordan Smallwood. Cambridge came close to extending their lead as Son Seward delivered a long range shot from the right but the angle was too sharp, and the shot hit the side of the goal. 0 - 1 was the half-time score. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by ASU, with an impressive 53 percent possession of the ball.

A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area, but at last Cambridge´s Steve Eggleston was able to shove the ball in. 0-2. Curt Faulk came close to extending the visitors lead as he, completely unmarked in front of the goal, lifted a ball over Bernard Mayes, hitting the bar. In the games 84:th minute Curt Faulk nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through and fired from just outside the box, his shot passed just over the bar. ASU didn´t give in and in the 84:th minute Jordan Smallwood was able to put the 1 - 2 goal away after a play from the right. ASU held the ball, with a clear 62 percent possession rate.

The most dominating ASU player was without a doubt Terrance Hughes. However, Herb Iverson made a disastrous appearance. Most important Cambridge player was Cordell Barron. Steve Eggleston was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 2.

ASU was in last place, so it didn't move the standings much, but it gets us to within 3 points of Dunwoody Triumph in 6th
