OT- Movies You Hate, Performances You Love

Just Saw Wonderland and Tombstone, and while I loved Wonderland, I hated Tombstone, thought it was a horrid movie. BUT, I loved Val Kilmers performance and would watch it again just to see him play Doc Holiday one more time. So, the question is, What Movies have you hated but had performances you loved?

I totaly hated it. Russell was a horrible choice as Wyatt Earp, the Dana Delaney role was about as cliched as possible. I could go on and on but I was rolling my eyes about every 5 minutes from the sheer ineptitude of the movie. But I could not turn it off cause I wanted to see Kilmer, and the shootout at the end and the deathbed scene made it worth my while, but damn did I hate that movie.

Do CGI characters cound because I'd have to say Yoda in the first two Star Wars movies. Like one review I read wrote, you know your movie is in trouble when a CGI character is the most convincing actor.

You mean the 4th and 5th right? Well, the 2 new ones right? I marked out for Yoda in the last movie and I enjoyed it well enough but he has totaly destroyed that series.

I read that George Lucas hand-delivered a thank-you note to the Wachowski Brothers after Matrix 2 & 3 for making two franchise killing sequels so lame that sci-fi geeks have fogetten all about Star Wars Episode I and 2.

Of course, if you believe this, he's still on the hook for his hackneyed dialogue ("It is your destiny", rinse, scrub, repeat) in Return of the Jedi. And nothing the Wachowski Brothers could ever do will make up for the two hours I wasted watching the crime against humanity that is Howard the Duck.

And that will all go away if the Peter Jackson rumors are correct about him making 3 more LOTR movies.

I loved the performance of Lea Thompson Hair in this movie.

She has always been a little cutie, but when she put on those trashy clothes and featured that popular Big, Big, Big hair style of the 80s I was in lust. Hurt me! Hurt me!! Hurt me!!!
