Incredible Hulk movie

After seeing the trailor for the Incredible Hulk movie last night, I was struck by the star power they have casted for the movie. I mean Shrek as the Hulk? That's genious!

No kidding. Lou Ferrigno (sp?) is a lot more convincing as the Hulk than Shrek. But hey, merchandising opportunities abound with Shrek reworking his image. I think he'll deserve numerous awards after this performance.

Casting Shrek appeals to the kiddies, which is a tough demographic to crack

Seriously. Am I alone? Or did he look like Shrek?

Shrek looked more realistic IMO.

I'm not expecting too much on this one. The Hulk was way too CGIish for my tastes.

Actually, the most disappointing upcoming comic movie for me is Daredevil. This looks like it is going to be just terrible.

Hard to tell on Daredevil IMO. The previews I've seen haven't shown much (which is usually a bad sign). I know a lot of people are not happy with Affleck as the lead, but that doesn't bother me too much. He's been in a couple movies I liked and I don't have an opinion on him either way.

I don't know what to think about the Daredevil flick... looks like they will be picking up the best old storyline for the character, though, as I think I'm seeing characters like Electra, Bullseye, and the Kingpin in the mix. I might have to go dig up a few of these mags from my basement... perhaps this movie will hike up their market value a bit?

Good point. I may have to do the same

Actually, I have seen two clips involving Elektra, and something just isn't "right" about the scenes.
I can't put my finger on it, but it just didn't seem like "Daredevil" the comic book.

Maybe I'm just picky since Daredevil, along with Fantastic Four, is one of my favorite Marvel comics.

I hope the Hulk graphics are not finished. I sure they were just trying to get something out for the superbowl.

i refuse to pay $10 to see this cartoon.

i refuse to watch any movie where the lead actor is a CGI animated entity and it doesn't have the same quality as Gollum from The Two Towers, or at the very least Yoda from Episode II.

Gollum raised the bar. we can never go back.

Oh my goodness. I agree 100% with Hell Atlantic.

That combined with Tampa winning the SuperBowl must mean the end of civilization as we know it!

Just watched the tape with the Hulk trailer. I agree that he has a very "Shrek" like quality. I'll still see the movie, though, for two words: Jennifer Connolly.

I saw a teaser yesterday night on TV...Hulk, the character, looked 100% computerized...not really convincing...
