Liberal leaning board?

I think he did a lot in the post WWII world to rank as one of the best presidents of all time. May have prevented a WWIII with not only the use of the nuke but more with his European diplomacy.

The Marshall Plan and desegregation of the military and federal government were pretty substantial things that Truman did.

Actually, 2 cities.

But the issue here for me is the matchup. While Grant was a heckuva general, he is widely considered one of the worst presidents in U.S. history. He was clueless, let his cabinet run things (and they were a corrupt bunch), and the Union's treatment of the South during Reconstruction was deplorable and left a nation still divided. I like Grant the person. But Grant the president would come in on my list as bottom 5 all time.

Yeah, I feel like Grant is doing well because of his status as a Civil War hero moreso than for his actual presidency.
