Dude's got skills! I don't know shit about bowling, but the way he cradles & throws the ball offends my sensibilities.

The most impressive part to me isn't the 12 strikes. It's the fact that he used 10 different bowling balls on 10 different lanes. Even if those lanes had just been oiled with exactly the same pattern, you're not guaranteed to get the same reaction on all of the shots. That's pretty cool.

That was my thought too.

I think he must have practiced a great deal just before this particular effort because he bowls the first lane almost straight on, and then on 8 or 9 he hangs it *way* out there near the gutter and it comes back.

The guy bowling is the owner of the bowling alley fwiw.

It's weird that it looks like he's throwing the balls with both hands.

I don't think it's crazy common, but it is out there quite a bit - Jason Belmonte is probably the most well-known for doing it -http://www.jasonbelmonte.com/style

If the technique is done just right, it's not even really any different from a traditional one-handed shot. It's still one hand that releases the ball. The off-hand is just used to steady the ball leading up to release. I'm not a great bowler by any means, but I've practiced the two-handed approach, and while I'm not very good at it, I see the appeal.

It's getting a lot more common with young bowlers (college age and younger). I know a couple of teenagers who've never bowled any other way.
