Didn't see the Spartans losing again after last week's debacle against Wisconsin. Wow.

How can you possibly not be smart enough to reach out and try to get the 1st down there?

That is how you play football. Two of the top teams in the nation playing a masterpiece. This loss unfortunately will hurt Louisville at the end of the season but it really shouldnt. They played #1 or #2 to a virtual draw at their home stadium with it all on the line.

Or at least #3 or #4.

Texas may sacrifice coordinators to stretch another year out of Strong.

Not sure he's what LSU wants (or needs for that matter)

Still another hour or so from home. Stopping for the ladies to run in to the store for a surprise visitor accomodation.

What a game. Maybe the best I've ever been to in person.
So many mistakes, to still find a way to pull out the W. I'm proud of my Tigers.

Dw4 still isn't right. I blame George Whitfield.

On our way back to Ohio from Clemson this morning.

Agree with CU... maybe the best game we've been to, I don't know, Notre Dame 2015 was pretty great. But it really seemed like the crowd willed them to that win.

If I was LSU I'd be writing that blank check to Tom Herman before Texas figures it out.

So, I hoped for some parallels, but I never really expected to see the Huskies roll them 44-6, nearly double them up in yardage and dominate both lines of scrimmage. I've seen a lot of great games in Husky Stadium over the last 40 years, but that's up there with the best performances I've seen. Despite all those great years under Don James, Washington has never before beaten a top-10 team by that much. Even if Stanford is overrated, and even if they were missing their starting corners, that was a dominant performance.

Which of course will mean little if the Huskies can't take care of business next weekend in Eugene.

No my friend, it was a thing of beauty

The bizarre thing with the Ducks is they've been the most hyped offense in the game for a while, had a QB drafted high and have been completely unable to recruit one. They are on what, their third consecutive JC transfer?

Before Mariota the offense was more run-heavy and the QB skill set was more focused on strong runners in a system that didn't seem to translate well to the NFL. And once Mariota became established I think they had some trouble getting kids willing to sit behind him. They've also just had some busts (Travis Jonson is the latest one to not live up to the hype) and for whatever reason haven't been able to seal the deal on other guys that seemed like good fits (Manziel, Tagovailoa). I would guess that bringing in free agents the last two years probably hasn't gone over that well with recruits and the young QBs on the team too.
