I considered Babe Ruth the Home Run King even though Oh had over 800 HRs.

So I dont consider Ichiro the Hit King, even though that is a damn impressive stat.

If professional hits is the standard wouldn't Ichiro still be around 400 hits short of Rose?

Got to see his 2999th in person this weekend. Also saw him get robbed of 3000 by a deft-fielding Rockies reliever. Fun times!
