PS2 Games: Looking for help!
With Christmas coming up, I felt the need to look for some games to possibly get, but I need help from my fellow FOFC'ers.
Right now, my only definite is ESPN College Basketball. With that said, can someone else help me out? I am more into sports games, but I own NCAA/Madden 2004, and I think I could use some action/RPG games. I am looking for a game I can get some solid time from, war, action, whatever the case may be. Any help is greatly appreciated. |

My friends rented Man Hunt and absolelutly love the game. The premise of the game is very intriguing. It is made by Rockstar games. In GTA3 on one of the radio stations there is a reality television show that is always advertised called "Liberty City Survivor." I am almost 100% sure this game is based off of this little skit in GTA. When I first saw my friends playing I thought "Liberty City Survivor"!

Kingdom Hearts is a very good action/RPG combo...Zelda-esque combat and a great RPG storyline and development model.

Ratchet and Clank is an excellent platformer that incorporates lots of nifty weapons. SSX 3 is drawing rave reviews as well.

I love RPG's so I'm going to suggest the HACK Series to you... As of right now 3 out of the 4 games of the series are available to us, and the last installment is coming out next month or two. Now a thing about this game.. It only takes 20-30 hours to beat each game itself, and that to me is really short in terms of RPG's(ffx 60 hours for me). That being true, I rented the three games, beat them all with great pleasure.. It's truly a great series and I will definitely be spending another 5 bucks on the 4th game to beat it finally.
It's not worth buying, but worth spending 15 bucks on the three of them for your christmas break, and beyond. |

I just purchased Space Channel 5 for the PS2 and it's absolutely amazing. $15 for 2 complete (though short) games. It's one of the most stylish games I've ever played, and my new favorite game in the music/rhythm genre (which is my favorite). If you have any interest in fruity Japanese music games, buy it :-) Gitaroo Man is another unknown but quality music game.
Also, I got Harvest Moon for the PS2 a year ago for $20 and it was definitely worth it. It's a fruity Japanese farming sim. What can I say? I love the offbeat kinda games. If you have any interest in the above genres, all of those come highly recommended and at a very low price. |

Final Fantasy x-2 is good.. if you can ignore the intro which makes it seem like a glorified powerpuff girl game
Oh.. and can anyone stop Afroturf in the fofc2 fantasy league :P Last edited by Ragone : 11-25-2003 at 03:51 AM. |
