Child just texted that he got his XB1 (Halo collection bundle) at WM a little while ago.

Yes, he knows the game is borked, he's trusting that it'll be fixed.

Sounds like Newegg is going to reoffer the $329 PS4 deal on eBay again tomorrow. It didn't last too long today. Hopefully they have more units available tomorrow.

Edit: Looks like they had 7000+ today.

Almost all of the retailers do it. Newegg, Best Buy, and Target just to name a few. Microsoft even does it relatively often. Just another way to move units and reach a different market.

Went out to Walmart at about 820 local time. Lines were nuts, but it was after their 8pm deals. Walked the store for about 15 minutes and the lines were gone. Grabbed a nice 5 gallon shop vac for 20 bucks and headed out the door. Stopped at Target and not much was going on there.

Crazy that some people do their whole shopping tonight. I guess people who shop there and buy that much probably need the extreme discounts to be able to afford it.

We're mostly online shoppers nowadays. Bought some work clothes from Lands End at 30% off and a nice discounted backpack for camping.

Still looking at a 4K TV but know that prices will continue to decrease so no rush.

Ordered an 18" frozen bike for my daughter online. Was hard to find, but found one 1/2 hour away from my parents house at a Walmart.

Went last night after she feel asleep, since it's a Santa gift. Got there at 10, still insanely crowded.

Went to the pickup area and waited. Someone came around after 10 minutes and said online pickup isn't open today.

Then why send me an email saying I can pick it up if I can't?

Now I have to make another hour round trip before I leave tomorrow.

Woke up at 4am to head to Home Depot to pick up a Christmas Tree they had on sale. Logged on the iPad to print off the right model number, and noticed that it was available online with free shipping. 5 minutes later, I was sound asleep.

When I woke back up, I went to show Mrs. King, and it was back to being 'Check local availability'. Still is showing up in my order history, and my credit card has been charged.

Went late last night to Target and got the very last copy of Shadows of Mordor for PS4 for $25, plus a few non-sale items that I needed to get.

Woke up about 7 this morning. Went to Toys R Us, and it was a snoozefest. Best Buy was packed, but I snagged one of the Samsung Blu-ray players for my parents for Christmas, then noticed it was a few bucks cheaper online everywhere. So I go to customer service line, and the guy says, "We're not price matching competitors today." "...Okay. Guess I'll just order it online then, because it's cheaper there." "Which website?" "Best Buy's." "Oh! We'll price match our own website. It should be the same." It wasn't though. So I got it for a few bucks cheaper.

Then I went next door to Office Depot - $30 wireless mice on sale for $9, so I got one for my mom, who's been wanting a backup mouse. Also got earbud headphones that were on sale for $5. I have a terrible time with headphones lasting more than few months no matter what their price range, so I just get the cheapest I can find whenever I can get them low enough.

Next up, the mall by UNLV. Stopped in my favorite sports apparel store and they tell us MLB and NBA jerseys are $25, which is an insanely good deal. Guy ahead of me grabs the last Kareem Lakers jersey in XL, so I take the last XL in the Chamberlain Lakers jersey. We go up to the register and the guy ahead of me starts checking out - Kareem jersey's ringing up at $110. Girl calls the manager over to find out what's up. Turns out the Hardwood Classic NBA jerseys aren't on sale, and the only Lakers jerseys on sale are Kobe Bryant, and I can't stand Kobe as a person, even though I respect his game.

Needless to say, neither one of us got jerseys then. He ended up getting a Raiders winter cap though, and I went back and picked up a Lakers zip-up hoodie that was originally $50, on clearance for $14.90. Only when I went to pay, I was quoted $12.09 as the price, including tax. I have a feeling the manager told the girl to give us an additional discount on our other stuff to make up for the miscommunication. That, of course, makes me want to shop there even more, and it's still the only place in town I get my Lakers stuff from.

After that, I took a standing break to get a pineapple soft serve at the food court, and ate it on the walk back home. En route, I popped in to Gamestop, but like Toys R Us, it was meh city. Still, pretty good day I'd say.

Hoping I can hit up one of the local gaming stores if they're doing Small Business Saturday tomorrow to patronize at least one local business (and hopefully get a discount on some Magic stuff )

Went out and got the Target $499 iPad Air 2 and got their $140 gift certificate.

Also traded in my iPhone 3GS and 4S for $100 each at Best Buy. Check out slickdeals.net if you have old iPhones to trade in,

It was the annual "Something dies have to go out on Black Friday" saga at my house this year, and had to do it twice as well. The router began to die two days ago....with about 10 people each using a device of some sort connected to said router. Then after installing the new one we got from Walmart, went back after we went bowling to get a wireless adapter so my just fixed computer will work better now. Then the other computer in the house broke down and may not be repairable.

yeah yeah Happy Holidays to you too.

Picked up a nice Detroit Lions running jacket (tough to find Lions stuff that's not hideous). Also got some books from Barnes and Noble, and FIFA 15 for PS4 for $30, and a second PS4 controller for $40.
