I know Colbert (or maybe The Daily Show) has pointed out what a great news state South Carolina is. "Hiking the Appalachian Trail" is still one my my favorite euphemisms. SI

yes yes this state is the biggest joke out there these days. A governor who got to keep his job with basically no penalty after having an affair and lying about being out of the country. Andre Bauer, Jim DeMint, now this woman, etc. Hollywood couldn't have written a better cast of characters.
