Help on the Help file, please
I just downloaded and licensed FOF2K4, especially after hearing all the buzz on here. I already own FOF2K1 and FOF4.
Unfortunately, when I click on the help file, I get a message that says I am missing the frfoot4.hlp file. Anybody had this happen? Any advice? |

Open the solecismic/fof 2004 directory.
You should see the FOF2004helpfile.hlp or something. Just rename it frfoot4.hlp. This should fix it. It may come up and say "I cant find the FOF2004.hlp file" after you change it, but its ok. It should open right to the directory, so you can just click on the file. I think normally it will open regularly with the normal name, but when you clikc on link in the help file it fails, at least that happened to mine. Anyway, this should fix it. |

dola,
if this info is helpful and works, maybe it could go into the sticky FAQ, since this question is asked every day or so. don't mean that condescending or anything, just that that way people can find the fix easier. |

Thanks a lot, I greatly appreciate the "help." By the way, I have been checking on the board over the years, and always found you guys to be a great help, including the "infamous" Easy Mac.
I will try your fix. |

No offense taken, I tried a search first, but could not find anything on it. I don't know how to a sticky FAQ, though.

Well, I'm a late comer to the FOF series, everything I've learned has come from the guys before me (I'd name names, but I'd forget too many)
But if by infamous you mean something slightly negative, then yes, yes I am infamous... I wouldn't have it any other way |

Well, at least infamous is more complimentary than cocky and funny.
