Madden 2004 GBA

Is there anyone who owns Madden 2004 on GBA ?
if so, how is it ? do you have a career mode or is it limited to season play ?

I just received a GBA so I thought it might be cool to buy the one football game available on that platform.

don't have it, but here's where I go to get a sampling of reviews. Looks mediocre, but hey, there aren't any alternatives...

I had a previous version and found it to be almost unplayable due to the small screen. But then I never really like the GBA much in the first place, so it may just be me.

I'll be interested to see how the new PSP (playstation handheld) is when it comes out next fall/winter.

Hmmm funny i should read this now.

I'm thinking of selling my rarely used PS2 with about 8 games. I was going to buy a GBA. Mainly because I have limited time to actually play video games. (anybody interested in a ps2 with games, email me).

I wanted to know if it is worth the money. I see that there are some games out there from the Super Nintendo. Also NHL and Madden games.

Now that I read this about Sony's handheld...I wonder if I should wait, knowing that I am the kind of guy that usually buys one thing to tide me over til the next thing comes out.

If it helps with your decision, the PSP graphics should be a lot better than GBA's. It is supposed to be similar to the PS2 graphics in terms of quality.

It helps a little...though my obsessiveness would tell me to get a GBA now and the PS handheld when it comes out.

i think GBA's biggest selling point is all the old SNES games (some with new levels and such) When the SNES went out of style so did console gaming for me. It just hasn't been the same since

I bought the thing and frankly have been a little disappointed. It just doesn't get the game support that it deserves. It's powerful enough, everything seems to work well, but they apparently have targeted a market well below my late twenties age group in terms of software design. I doubt PSP will make the same mistake, so I would recommend waiting.

Once upon a time, a guy I "met' here at FOFC and I endeavored to create a football simulation, and I specifically wanted to target handhelds. He and I spent the better part of a few weeks analyzing the "problem domain" and developing a feature set. However, time soon became scarce and we quickly lost contact. It was only 3-4 years ago, but I've forgotten his name and handle.

Anyway, I still think the market is ripe for handheld text sims...
