The Salary Cap is a fickle mistress
It turned it's back on me when after the first season 6 of my Raiders retired, leaving me with a ton of lost money.
It was my friend in season 3 when I signed "the Deuce" to help my 2nd year QB lead the team to the Championship. It was my lover the following year when I was able to fill out my entire line when many of them got hurt. Their replacements led me to the playoffs, the starters returned to lead me to another Championship. It was my lover the following season when I screwed San Diego out of signing the best 2 free agent OL(1 guard, 1 tackle, both 9.0 rated) available. Also thanks to 2 trades I had the 5th and 7th pick in the draft. The Linebacker I picked was a solid starter and the LT I drafted held his position well. Again, another championship. Now, I'm the Cap's bitch. I have nothing left to spend this season and next season. My stud QB, #1 pick in 2004, will be out of contract following this season. If I resign him I'll lose several key players. If I sign the others I'll have some chump journeyman QB fill in for the next few years. If only this was CM |

Funny how, after dropping QotM because most people felt most of the quotes were not funny, there have been a multitude of quote worthy comments in the wake of release.

I've got a question-- why bother to drop something like QotM when it was so easy to ignore?
