Last I heard, the save game file had been corrupted. I was thinking about starting a new career with it, and starting over... Thoughts from the rest of the VC'ers? Shag, RPI, andy, Josh?

Well, I still have the saved game from after my turn, so we could just back up two seasons.

(They weren't really two of our better seasons anyway)

Speaking strictly for myself, I'd prefer to do that... How about comments from the rest of the VC'ers?

Here's the weird thing, guys. The zip I have from right after my turn works fine when I unzip it. It just doesn't seem to work for Dex. I could try sending it to someone else, but my gut says what doesn't work for him may not work for anybody.

Backing up I'm a little hesitant to do because if we win a 3rd straight bowl, it has the tinge of illegitimacy to it.

So...I'm on the fence. I'd rather get the current one working, but if not, I think I'd rather start completely fresh.

I think I'm gonna' just drop out guys, to open a spot up for people who would be more enthusiastic about the happenings in Jacksonville. Thanks for lettin' me in again, and good luck!

BTW, so everyone knows, the problem I was having with unzipping is that when I unzip it to D:\FOF\Universe, there are no saved games when I try to load a game from FOF. All the files are being unzipped, so I don't know what's wrong.

One thing you need to make sure of is that the game is not building the full directory structure under the universe directory.

Whenever I get the file from Andy, has has always included the entire directory structure from Program Files down, and I have to explicitly make sure I don't use those folder names. There should be no subdirectories beneath universe.

Cool

c'mon, guys: i think it's time for a move to wall street (and FOF2K1?).

BTW, if you do start over with 2K1, i'd (probably) be interested in taking over multiple usename's spot...

eek. guess i didn't notice the re-start and switch to jacksonville during any of my brief visits to the dynasty forum (too many "village challenge" topics these days ).

i better let a hardcore follower of the challenge step in instead...

Okay, guys...

I think we may just be better served to restart, and that way avoid any stigma should we happen to win another Super Bowl. I'll go ahead and restart, using the allocation draft, just as Josh did to start Jacksonville. Do we want to find someone to bring us back up to 5?

Any objection to this order?\
