Was it a modded league file you used? If not zip up the league files in the saves folder and email them to [email protected] and I will look and see what happened. The files I need are the .pbb file in the saves folder and the associated league folder in the saves folder.

The error looks like it has to do with coach/GM data which is why I asked if it was a modded file but no way for me to know for sure unless I see the file

It was just a straight out of the box league (I changed my player name and age and the name of the league but that is it).

No real worries, I tried a new league and it loaded just fine. I really hate Windows Vista, can't wait to get a new laptop.

Hmmm - must have been something with your player. Did you use any kind of non alpha characters in your name or put in a strange age or anything like that?

Same. Tried diving it without realizing this wasn't an option and now I visit this thread and discover it's not. You can force a GM out of his position on a certain day (I have to look up when that day is) and take over his spot on GM hiring day, but you have to do it on those exact respective days.

As for creating a new GM, I'm pretty sure that's still multi-player mode only.

It the day after the Awards ! Just log in as commissioner on that day (i think June 17th) and on the bottom right you´ll have the options available to you.

It´s not ideal, but it´s sth.

Version 1.1 has been released - a couple fixes plus I added some new things in like being able to pull up player cards from the draft history in the almanac and team history pages (only for active players though), allowed the AI to consider making "poisonous" contract offers to RFAs in order to either grab the guy for a high price or screw over the team who can match and I added in more news stories during the free agency period not only to report on who signed contracts but also have reports on some of the players who haven't signed and where they might be leaning.

I've been down and out for a couple days with a wicked cold and allergies but I'm starting to feel better and will be making another list of things for more new additions to the game as well as continuing to tweak and fix anything else as well as working on getting some more season disks out.

Thanks Gary! I've been really enjoying this version of the game. And no technical issues at all, the product is already much much more stable than the College version and no Widget issues. Now if only I could figure out how to win with my Raptors! 3-17 in my first season, yikes!

1.2 update available. Worked on further improvements to the free agency logic, worked with FG% and updated the default and 2011 season disk rosters to reflect some changes in player shot preferences. Didn't update the 2012 season disk because that just contains the rookie portion and the actual start of season rosters will be put together at the start of the NBA season.
