1869 (Season 32) FBI Season Preview
OVERVIEW It seems that SLOP is maturing in some ways, but not in others. Salaries are down for the first time ages. Gone are the days of $50m one-year contracts instead teams are signing more homegrown talent to longer-term deals than ever before, guys with bad deals are stuck with their own teams until they end and so, more and more owners are more cautious about the sort of moves they make. The new financial structure has seen talent disperse across the league and with the end of FFP, it seems draft picks are worth more now than ever before. What these leaves us with is parity and the rise of a new order where teams like St. Louis, Gettysburg, Columbus and Winnemucca represent as close to the old guard as possible, while upstarts like Chicago, Los Angeles and Las Vegas try to break through. One change to this season is the death of the Conditional Playoff Rule, so teams will need to be top 3 in their league or no dice. The days of a wild card forcing the playoffs open for everyone are over. Season 32 will be interesting, as there are no true frontrunners and there are so many scenarios that could happen this year. |

Tiebreaker game last year means the game thinks we need one this year too. I will delete that extra game.
