The '68 lottery and results are complete. Here's the draft tracker. It would figure that the first time Winnemucca enters the draft lottery that they almost win it.

Ok, so I screwed up last night and Washington didn't get Vegas's 1st rounder. He took the option of acquiring the guy Vegas drafted. So I'll need to make that move when I get home later.

What's the problem? 2 pitch pitchers should be relievers anyway.

The problem is that the game isn't generating any good young pitchers. No way should a 2-pitch reliever be the best available pitcher in the draft with the fleeting hope he'll develop a 3rd pitch. The best young pitchers are all relievers, which makes no sense. |

Wolvie felt like the Emeralds weren't as good because they had too far to travel from Hawaii and so, after 11 years in Hawaii, the Emeralds are headed to the mainland for next season. The Kauai Emeralds will become the Los Angeles Villains.
Here's a sneak peek at their new duds: |

CF Josh McKellar is still in my organization, but I think he was supposed to go to Clap's team because of our trade.

Apparently, position player fatigue was turned off for last year. For all of us. I don't know why, though I speculate (after thinking about it) that the file on my work machine must've had the wrong setting and when I had to upload from there during my internet outage, that it must've had that in it. Nothing else makes any sense, but Gomer noticed it and alerted me and I assumed at first it was nothing because I hadn't touched that setting in ages.
But again, I suspect the cross-pollination was the culprit. But fear not, position player fatigue is back this year. |

File is up. We'll sim the 1st third of SLOP's 31st season on Monday.
Next week's schedule: MON: 1st third (March-May) TUE: 2nd third (June-July) WED: Off-day THUR: 3rd third (August-September) FRI: Playoffs I debated where to put the off-day, but it seems like benefitting everyone by putting an off-day in the season rather than the playoffs seemed smarter, so we'll try this initially and see how it works. |

Can we assume that the trade deadline will be on Thursday evening? I know I should know this, but is there a set time that trades have to be completed, so that you can process the file and upload a new copy for us to make changes? |

I was actually debating this, so it's cool that you asked. In my head, I was assuming the trade deadline would be on Thursday sometime before the sim. I think we'll say right now that the trade deadline will be around 5pm eastern on that Thursday, which should give me a chance to put up a new file by 7pm eastern and allow trade participants to make changes and upload their new export before the midnight deadline.

Although we were quiet this offseason, what we accomplished last season should be carrying over to some real success this season. Our lineup is stacked, the only question I have going in is how good our rotation will be.
