How I was Lucky in FF This Week

I went to look at my starting lineup and their stats this week and shuddered in horror:

QB Tom Brady - Led his Pats to a mighty 9 points. No TDs, but not Ints either.

Troy Brown and his 3 rushing yards and 10 receiving yards.

Andre Johnson and his 29 receiving yards.

Travis Taylor and his 5 receiving yards.

Michael Pittman with a good rushing day in yardage with 113 yards, but no TD.

Heck, my only player with a TD was Torry Holt, who has definately been the man. My defense had only 4 points, so I was seriously scared. I was sure that I had lost...

Then I saw my opponent's lineup.

Drew Bledsoe (Negative points)
Terrell Owens
Joe Horn (who went ballistic)
Kevan Barlow (Also negative points)
Justin McCareins (Who?)
J.J. Stokes (The guy who was benche din favor of Troy Edwards?)
Morten Anderson (Second best score for my opponent on the day)
Buffalo defense (which didn't stop much Sunday night, eh?)

I escaped with a win. Lucky, lucky.

As I posted elsewhere, I was tied going into MNF with LT2 in my lineup and David Boston and Ricky Williams in the other guys.

Boston decided to actually show up, meaning I need Tomlinson to significantly outperform Williams. Niether RB does anything all game, each average about 2.5 ypc. The Chargers can't move the ball at all.

Late in the game I realize I need a Tomlinson TD to have any shot. I saracastically point out that there only hope is for the Dolphins to give them the ball on the one yard line.

A few plays later, Williams fumbles at his own one. Tomlinson punches it in. The TD combined with the fumble gives me enough to squeak out a win.

God bless flukey, undeserved wins.
