Continental League Top Rookie Announced
Wednesday, November 14th, 2159: He's the toast of the town in Apex -- the brand-new 2159 Continental League Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award winner -- center fielder Juan Franco.

In his debut season he compiled some good stats, hitting .261, batting in 41 runs and scoring 83 times, while playing in 138 games. The 25-year-old newcomer also had 33 doubles, 5 triples and 12 home runs.


Rodríguez Is RL's #1 Rookie
Wednesday, November 14th, 2159: It was a standout 2159 season for Tomás Rodríguez. The designated hitter for the Colorado Rancheros has been named the winner of the Republic League Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award.

He hit .382 in 132 games with 174 hits and 83 RBIs and scored 66 runs.

Best Pitcher Trophy Won by Cyclones Kouki
Friday, November 16th, 2159: The Gabriel Prado Award for 2159 has been presented and the Continental League winner is Nobuharu Kouki of Cleveland.

"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Kouki. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Cyclones star told reporters.

Kouki excelled with an impressive 17-5 record in 40 starts. In 247.1 innings he yielded 249 hits and 21 walks, while striking out 179 and compiling a fine 2.87 ERA.


Colorado Ace Cops RL Gabriel Prado Award
Friday, November 16th, 2159: Rancheros ace Kichisaburo Nakamura is the latest Republic League Gabriel Prado Award trophy winner. The Colorado star shined on the diamond time and again this year and finished with an outstanding 17-5 record.

In 32 starts he tossed 204.1 innings, posted 109 strikeouts and sported a 3.00 ERA. Opposing batters hit .238 when Nakamura was pitching.

Super Season, Manuel Wins Hideaki Tanaka Award
Saturday, November 17th, 2159: It's been a year of triumph for veteran Carlos Manuel of the Noblesville Millers as he hit his way to the 2159 Continental League Hideaki Tanaka Award.

The 36-year-old veteran compiled a .326 average and .422 on-base percentage by putting together 185 hits, 39 doubles, 2 triples, 46 home runs and 82 walks. He also scored 111 times and drove in 115 runs.

Saturday, November 17th, 2159: What a year for Víctor Moreno! He finished the year with a .312 average and today was named the winner of the 2159 Republic League Hideaki Tanaka Award.

His season totals included a .407 on-base percentage, 197 hits, 33 doubles, 5 triples, 41 home runs, 124 RBIs and 109 runs scored.
