Saturday, November 3rd, 2096: "Ball hawk" is a good name for the members of the defensive elite, the players who make leather shine. The fielders who crashed the wall, leaped in the air, and dived in the hole better than any others during 2096 have been tabbed as the Continental League's Slick Fielder Award winners. Continental League Selects Top Rookie
Sunday, November 4th, 2096: Mathieu Pelletier, second baseman for the Oshawa Mullets, has won the Continental League Kien-lung Teng Award for 2096 after putting up a good freshman year.

In 157 games, Pelletier hit at a .305 clip with 165 hits in 541 at-bats and 12 home runs, drove in 74 runs and scored 69 times.


RL's Best Rookie Honored
Sunday, November 4th, 2096: Nick Palmer put together some impressive numbers for Ann Arbor to garner enough votes for the Republic League Kien-lung Teng Award.

The Wolverines left fielder took the honor by hitting .305 in 162 games this season and finishing with 188 hits, 32 home runs, 99 RBIs and 96 runs scored.

2096 CL Mauro Morales Award Chosen
Tuesday, November 6th, 2096: An old hand in this game, Gabriel Tadeo of the Oshawa Mullets silenced critics as well as he silenced the opposition this year by winning the Continental League Mauro Morales Award.

The 37-year-old starter threw 201 innings, notched 178 strikeouts and put up a 19-6 record to claim the coveted award.

Tuesday, November 6th, 2096: The Mauro Morales Award for 2096 has been presented and the Republic League winner is Mototsune Saito of Waikiki.

"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Saito. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Beach Boys star told reporters.

Saito excelled with an impressive 17-5 record in 33 starts. In 217 innings he yielded 177 hits and 50 walks, while striking out 251 and compiling a fine 3.03 ERA.

2096 CL #1 Hitter is Plantana's Sekine
Wednesday, November 7th, 2096: Plantana's Tokaji Sekine put the wraps on a fine campaign today by winning the 2096 Continental League Bartolo Liriano Award.

The 32-year-old veteran scorched the opposition with a .330 average, picking up 203 hits, 42 doubles, 10 triples, 37 home runs and 138 RBIs, while scoring 122 runs.

Wednesday, November 7th, 2096: Anthony Langman has been around FOOL-X enough to know a good hot streak when he sees one -- and he got to see one firsthand all year. For his standout run through the 2096 season, he's taking home the Bartolo Liriano Award in the Republic League.

The Waikiki catcher put up a batting average of .356 with 40 doubles, 5 triples, 36 home runs and 145 RBIs.
