Jan doesn't like asian players.

A few thoughts.

1. Why really bother to apologize? I really liked what McNabb said about not wanting Rush to apologize. What does it really prove?

2. I'm not seeing the racism here either. She's making no comments about ability or really anything negative associated with race. She's merely observing behavior from a select group of individuals and clearly states that. It doesn't necessarily speak to the whole community and I've never heard what she said being a common stereotype.

3. She's pushing for the tour using sex as a marketing weapon but is against lesbians. Damn, she doesn't have a clue about what sells either.

It makes me sick to read the official apology statement. It was one of those typical canned ones phrased by some dweeb on a PR staff somewhere under the delussion of sincerity and pressured by the LPGA officials to save face. Does anyone anywhere think that such an apology (and the many like it) means anything besides a contrived piece of crap?? Jan has always been outspoken and she meant what she said, despite the ludicrous apology statement.

To be honest, I see where she's coming from with some of her comments. One of her main points is saying that the Japanese players are being gruff and rude with their clients. I don't see how that can help the sport.
