OT: Ethical Question

I hope this doesn't make me sound like a complete jerk, but.... exactly how long do we have to wait before it's appropriate to start making Siegfried and Roy jokes?

I mean, obviously it would be poor taste to make jokes and then find out the guy died. But on the other hand, one of the guys from freakin' Siegried and Roy was mauled by a tiger on stage. You don't get many opportunities like this.

Is there a set amount of time (one week? one month?) Or is it based on Roy's condition improving? If so, does he have to be up and walking around, or would an upgrade to serious condition be enough?

Can I get a ruling?
