The Rattlesnake in my closet
OK, you guys may think I'm crazy, but for the last five years a rattlesnake has lived in my closet. Not the master bedroom closet, mind you, but the closet next to the guest bathroom.
Fortunately, I only keep my old dismantled Soloflex (tm) in the closet, so I virtually never open the door. Well, one day we had some guests come over to the house for dinner. At the end of a great meal, my wife says to me, "can you get Bill and Laura's coats?" I went to the master bedroom and checked the bed. "Strange," I thought, because I didn't see the coats there. I asked my wife where Bill and Laura's coats were, to which she responded, "in the closet next to the guest bathroom." The only word to describe how I felt was "horrified." You see, my wife and I have a deal. She has sex with me, and I'm responsible for getting stuff out of all of the closets. "But that's the rattlesnake closet," I pleaded. "Tough," my wife responded. "If you want to get into my dark place, you'll have to go into that dark place first," she chided me. Swallowing my pride, I walked down the long hallway to the infamous rattlesnake closet. . . The rattlesnake was dead because it was trapped in the closet for years. I went down stairs and my wife was banging Bill and Laura.
