Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus

How did we get this close to this movie's (direct to DV) release date without any discussion here?!

Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus (2009) (V)

yes, its a real movie. yes, it stars deborah gibson, and yes, that is a shark a) eating the golden gate bridge, and b) leaping out of the ocean to take a passenger plane out of the air.

Haha, I saw this trailer on PZ Myers blog earlier this week. I wonder how many times the phrase: "We'll fix it post." was used?

I think I'd rather watch Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.

Is this a made-for-SciFi movie?

I happened to "find" a copy of this movie. There is an amazing amount of suck to this movie. Utterly crap-tastic.

I like how the guy's response to being told to sit down in the airplane is "I'm getting married in two days." Oh, in that case, feel free to stand up.

There is supposed to be a new movie coming out (by coming out, I'm assuming direct to DVD or SyFy) with a 2-minute wrestling match between Tiffany and Deborah Gibson.

That's the one. There was an article about it in Entertainment Weekly about it and other cheaply produced scifi/horrors. We, oddly enough, got an EW subscription as a courtesy when we ordered something and it was delayed because it was on backorder and have really enjoyed it (and since resubscribed -- we are suckers).

Throw Molly Ringwald in there, and I think I'd have to just quit life, because there wouldn't be anything else I'd ever want to see. Molly would be victorious, but really, we'd all be winners.

Honestly, this makes me feel really bad for them both. They must have a lot of credit card debt.

I can take or leave Debbie Gibson, but Tiffany still looks smoking hot to me (plastic surgery or not).

We watched a pirhanna movie this weekend on the sci-fy channel. It was so bad we couldn't turn the channel. It had everything: plot holes, oddly phrased one liners that no one would ever say, terrible CG animations.

I don't understand where they get their actors/directors. I feel like they are purposefully trying to make the most terrible movie ever created. I get that vibe from most of the sci-fy shows, though. They must be a means to some ungodly end or they wouldn't exist.

I watched this as part of a bad movie thing my friends and I do once a year. Apart from a couple of scenes, this movie is just boring and not in an entertaining way.

If you want to see a bad entertaining movie, watch The Room. Just awesome.
