? about cookies

I guess I don't totally understand how these work. I can be on my computer for several days and when I look at the temporary internet file folder, it will just have the basic "cookie" info from various sites. Other times, it will contain the basic stuff and also pics and stuff from every page of every site. I looked at the Puresim message board earlier today. Now I have a bunch of gif files from various PS pages. Why does it seem to go back and forth? I haven't changed any settings that I'm aware of.

Glad to see I'm not the only one that was disappointed. I was all ready with my double chocolate chocolate chip cookie recipe.

Cached image files are set to disappear after a set time (usually a few days).

Cookie files also timeout, but not for months or even years.

So if you haven't surfed in a few days, the image files will be gone* but the cookies will remain.

*Nothing's ever really "gone" on a computer, so go easy on the porn.

Anyone have a good recipe for sugar-free cookies? We use Splenda for sweetener, but it's hard to substitute for molasses or something else to hold them together.

I dont know if this will be a good molasses substitute, but I know Vegitarians who substitute apple sauce for eggs to help hold cookies together. Doesn't work with all cookies, but sometimes it makes a pretty good cookie.

We've actually used apple sauce as well. It's works OK, but they still seem to fall apart a little too easily.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is the only thread in Internet history that contains the back-to-back use of the phrases "Go easy on the porn" and "Anyone have a good recipe for sugar-free cookies?".
