Way to teach gender equality. I'll have to come babysit and then we'll do both. (though it's true, baseball is slow on TV. Gotta take them to games and ply them with snacks in order to instill a love of the game.)

I tried playing "dolls" with them, but they just aren't into army men or transformers or Cool Dolls.

They just want to play disney princesses and princes all of the time.

At least I've gotten them all to play soccer. My oldest tried one year of softball but didnt like it so I am not pushing her on that. I'll try softball for the younger two to see if either of them want to do that.

My wife wants to give my youngest ballet lessons next year, but I want to do more soccer instead!

You can even buy them little jerseys and have them play baseball together.

I work with children. All I do all day long is try to find ways to manipulate their little minds...I mean, teach them!

I hated ballet class (it's super boring and slow paced) and loved soccer (cause it's not) so there's probably no harm in exposing them to both. Do they own the "cool dolls?" because if they do and you're giving them the option, you win a Gender Equality point back. It's not your fault that they don't have brothers to force these things upon them (thought I think, technically, it is.)

I just meant the extreme, you hit the nail on the head. I don't think anyone around here would complain about anyone making a statement that said something like what you just said. Especially being disappointed.

You said it better than I did when you mentioned the system, Thank ya Sir!

My oldest daughter has some transformers I bought for her as well as some Mr.Potato heads that you could dress up as a stormtrooper or various star wars characters...

But my two youngest daughters have no interest at all in that.

If you can somehow move to a development surrounded by open lots filled with rocks, all that you will have to do is buy your kids a wood bat. At least that is what worked for me. Plus faking sick from school to watch Cubs game in scrambled vision...

I think the one thing I miss from past OOTP experiences is the talent movement. Player development used to be the first thing I looked at, and though there were definitely disappointments, there was nothing better than drafting a late round guy who lacked a specific category and seeing him develop into a stud...I believe the switch would be worth finding a Mike Piazza or Wade Boggs even at the expense of losing guys like Mark Prior or Matt Anderson...

I'm totally against changing the randomness. It's worked for nearly 200 seasons, why mess with it?
