Whither your first love?

We both strayed when she went to college, I saw her one final time before I joined the Army back in 1980 and though I have thought about her a few times over the years, never really cared to find out what she is up to, despite the fact that I know people back in Utah that know her family.

We had a torrid 8 month teenage love affair that included love notes with lines like "I will love you until the Statue of Liberty sits down" (She wrote that not me) funny how I still remember that one line and no, I have never "regifted" it.

The weird message i got from her recently was that her & another woman I dated briefly (they were best friends) want to come visit me for a weekend & force me to make spaghetti. Thank God I'm not 16 anymore.

My first love...

Teaching religious studies at a school in Indiana after just getting her doctorate at Yale.

First intense crush - Not sure. 3rd grade was when I fell for her. Didn't see her after grade school until my senior year of high school and she looked amazing.. and surprisingly didn't hate me. We flirted some, but I didn't ask her to prom. Kicking myself for that one since my prom sucked. Haven't seen her since then and not sure what's up with her.

First serious loves - I have to pair these two together since they're sisters and they arrived about the same time. One's married and a elementary school teacher in San Francisco... still looks good. The other one I think is still single, has put on weight and is still in our hometown as far as I know. The ironic part? I'm facebook friends with their youngest sister, who I went to the same undergrad school with my last two years there.

First requited love - Lives in Phoenix and works at an animal shelter. Characteristic of her very long engagements (I wasn't one of them, though I contributed to her breaking off an engagement to an abusive girlfriend), she's been engaged to the same guy for the last several years. I still talk to her from time to time and every now and again when she's coked up, she talks about seeing me for a week to finish what we started 11 years ago.
