What happened to my Vista 64 bit desktop icons
I'll start by saying that I'm pretty sure I caused the icons to disappear by accidentally hitting some keys on the lower left side of my keyboard. Now, every time the computer boots, my icons don't show up. I have to right click on the desktop, select view and click on show desktop icons. It already has a checkmark so I have to uncheck and then check again. Then my icons are back.
I've tried running explorer.exe with no luck. I've done some searches but haven't found anything that seems to work. It isn't the worst thing in the world since I do have a work around but it does get annoying. Any suggestions? |

Could you accidentally have chosen a second desktop view?
Depending on your graphics card, you might have the option to have several different desktops, as if you had more than one monitor connected to the computer. You might accidentally have picked, for example #2.
