I'm in Tampa for the week
Check's on my company. Staying downtown, but I do have a rental. Where should I eat and what should I do?
Focusing more on the eating, I'm not really up for adventuring. Last edited by jeff061 : 10-27-2009 at 02:58 PM. |

Tampa has some GREAT Cuban food. Head to Ybor City. It's an amazing area.

Defintely will check out Bern's, always try to find "the" local steak place when I travel on business. Found a great one my last trip to Columbus.
Just feels good expensing that $50 steak . |

If you like Greek, take the short trip up the coast to Tarpon Springs. They've got a great Greek place on the water. Can't remember the name off hand, but it's not a far drive and worth it.

If the office down here didn't consist of a single married middle aged woman I'd try to get something together for Venus .

If it's still open, there's a breakfast place called Yanni's or something similar. Claims to be the french toast king, and I don't know if I could argue with him. It's been awhile since I went there, so I don't know if it's still open or even where it is although I'm sure a quick google search would find it. All I remember were eating the best french toast I had ever eaten and that they only had whole milk (my first experience)
