Girls Next Door/Hugh Hefner Question

I've seen the show in passing and get the jist that these girls live at the Playboy Mansion and so on. They apparently have a new season with new girls moving in.

Now I know reality shows are fake in many ways, but is Hef actually fucking these chicks? I don't get the "girlfriend" thing with him. Is it just for show or does be screw these broads?

This is a question I need to have answered.

i think it's largely for show but it depends.

with the last set of girls at least the one Kendra had a BF at the same time

Yeah, she ended up marrying him, Hank Baskett (WR from Indy, formerly of Philly).

That Kendra chick that married that 4th receiver who used to play for the Eagles and now the Colts said in some magazine that they did him sometimes, they weren't allowed to have jobs outside of doing promotional appearances and they made $1,000 a week as an allowance. But that since you never got "alone time" with him, that she'd sometimes sneak out and do it with other dudes.

Because I wondered this too...

they did him sometimes, but you never got alone time with him? so does that mean they had orgies sometimes?

I believe his daughter left the CEO and day-to-day management (not sure if she is still involved as board member) post early in the year and Playboy hired a new CEO from another media/communications company.

Yep, Christie Hefner, who is largely responsible for Playboy Enterprises making it safely and profitably into the digital era despite her father, left the company earlier this year. Most people feel she managed the company very well and left it in a good position but I'd imagine they face the same challenges most media companies do these days, with the additional challenge of what appears to be a stratification of content providers in the porn world. On the latter topic, they have done a fair amount of acquisition, but I don't know enough about revenues in online porn to really comment.

I think what Playboy has going for it is a lot of back content. Not only pictures (I'd imagine many thousands that never made the magazine), but interviews and articles. I'm not sure how they're leveraging that or how they *should* leverage that, but I'd think it would be an asset.

I think PB worked a little better when it was a little more sophisticated. I'm not sure they can get that back, but I'm not sure going too far in the other direction is the answer either.

Just a note, I'm in a Fantasy Football league with the guy who runs their digital side these days. He has not won a game.
