Annoying iTunes problem

Shalom.

So...I'm re-doing my entire iTunes setup for my road trip. I'm separating all of the songs into the correct albums, etc, and I've noticed something I'm not sure how to fix.

iTunes has separated 3 of the songs from Alice in Chains "Dirt" album into a separate area, still listed under Alice in Chains. In fact, it even has the same album artwork, same album artist, same album name, same everything...it's just listed as two different albums with the exact same name/everything. I think I remember this happening before and I never figured out how to fix it. How do I get these into the same spot?

Try selecting all of them, editing the data, and setting them all to 'Dirt' as the album, just in case there's something odd there...?

-Highlight all of the songs that you want grouped together
-Right click and then click Get Info
-Put an x in all of the boxes starting at artist and stopping at year and fill in the information that you want displayed

That should do it

This happens to me if the "Artist" entry is different for some of the songs (usually if a song 'features' someone else or something, but sometimes there is a typo or a space). One fix, if you want to keep the different "Artist" values, is to set the "Album Artist" to be the same. In your case I'd just select all the songs, make sure to set the "Artist" and "Album Artist" to be Alice in Chains, and save it.

Pyser also has a solid idea, maybe even more likely.

Ok...so yeah I tried all of these things. 1 of the songs moved over, but the other two are still chilling on their own. I'm completely stumped. I've gone through every imaginable setting on there like...20 times. Oy
