My School gets some National Props

Just want to share some pride in our Kids.

ESPN just released their regional High School rankings and Westview was one of three Arizona schools to make the top 20 in the Western region.

The good or bad news, is we have the other 2 on our schedule this year. We play defending 5A-1 State Champion Hamilton in game 2 and of course our region rival and defending 5A-2 State Champions Centennial late in the year.

This could be a big year for our program and our kids have worked so hard to get here. We wouldn't trade them for anything!!

LOL, I actually had similar thoughts, we are in some pretty good company as most of those schools are perennially on the list. It's nice, but it would be real cool to still be there at the end of the year.

Did you go to Yuma Julio? They were in our region for a few years when I coached at North Canyon. To this day that is still my least favorite road trip ever. God it is a boring jaunt from Phoenix to Yuma.

But you get to stop in Gila Bend!!!

Yeah, I went to Yuma. When Dempsey Dees was their star player at RB.. He was a senior my freshman year.

Loved watching that guy. Almost got to see him go pro as a DB, too.
