Wayans vs. Baldwins

I caught a show of I'm a [pseudo-]Celebrity and saw two of the Baldwins on there. A recent article in Entertainment Weekly was on the Wayans family. This all got me thinking of which family is the more successful? I think comparing the Jacksons (Michael, et al) to the Wayans or Baldwins is not even a contest, but the sheer number of Wayans and Baldwins in entertainment without any of them really becoming huge is interesting. Becoming huge is a relative term, but I would consider Angelina Jolie, Oprah, Tom Cruise as being a huge star...not necessarily any of the Wayans or Baldwins.

Discuss or point out flaws.

I'd have to say Baldwins simply because I think Alec has ended up being bigger than any of the Wayans by himself.

Although I considered subtracting points from the Baldwins for some of the rest of the family.

Baldwins win due to 30 Rock alone.

The more intersting question would be: which family is more mediocre?

I don't know much about the Baldwins but those citing 30 Rock cannot ignore the influence of In Living Color on sketch comedy and comedy in general.

Bio-dome probably cancels out 30 Rock.

I'd pick Alec Baldwin over the Wayans. Yet the Wayans over the Baldwins as a whole.

Wayans win by volume. Their kids are getting in on the act now.

I think the wayans win on income. Baldwins on quality. Barely though.

My thoughts exactly, that is why I voted on the tie. The other Baldwins bring Alec down, they get B movie and TV show jobs on their last name and that in a certain light a drunk person might mistake them for Alec.

I liked "My Wife and Kids." Didn't watch much of it after the first season or so, though. I think they moved it all around the schedule.

Hunt for Red October and Backdraft give it to the Baldwins for me.

Alec Baldwin on friends was classic...

Parker, “I’m sorry. That’s who I am. I’m a positive person.”

Phoebe Buffay, “No, I’m a positive person. You are like Santa Claus on Prozac at Disney Land getting laid.”

EDIT: and I completely forgot that Alec Baldwin was in Beetle Juice.
