Damn it.

David Carradine spoke of suicide wish before his death in Bangkok hotel - Telegraph

Carradine, 72, was found dead by a maid at the Park Nai Lert Hotel in Bangkok on Thursday morning. Thai police said the actor had a curtain cord around his neck.

"How do I look?"

"You look ready."

-I've never seen an actor so Zen-like in delivery but so capable looking of menace. He was awesome in Kill Bill.

There are reports that it could have been auto-erotic asphyxiation.

I started assuming this after all this talk of a rope around his neck, no forced entry and no suicide confirmation.

Wow, if true I just don't get that. Is it possible to have seen so much sexually that you have to go to these extremes for a rush?

Regardless, he was definitely a character and really aged quite well from the last time I saw him on TV. RIP

Now they are starting to suggest that there might have been another person involved. There are some reports that his hands were tied behind his back and they found evidence of other people besides him in the room.

Personally I wouldn't believe anything coming from the authorities in Thailand. They'll say anything to make themselves look better and protect tourism. I have a friend who is a photographer out there and he always talks about how tourists get killed from other countries and the police call it a suicide no matter what.

I'm sorry, but if you are into auto-erotic asphyxiation and you tie a rope around your testicles and you kill yourself, you are in for the minimum of at least an eye roll. (not saying that is what happened)

If I was into that and accidentally killed myself and in the afterlife ran into my friends, I'd fully expect the first words out of their mouth to be - 'Duuuuude, rope around the nuts. Really???'

My cousin was shot dead and his gf was ran over and killed after an argument with a member of the Thai secret police in a really high profile case about 4 years ago. Eventually, the case became so detrimental to tourism (people from the UK were cancelling their trips because it was in a tourist location and the word was getting out that it wasn't safe) that the Thai authorities hunted the guy down and now he is serving life in prison, but I understand that is extremely rare and usually the authorities over there are so corrupt that it's impossible to get anything done.

In any case, still shitty he died, but hell, he went out in style, for sure.

We actually had an employee of my company go in a very similar situation while on an overnight. Of course, we have had our share of suicides as well, also on overnights.

You had an employee tied their nuts to their neck in a closet in Thailand while working on a movie? Someone remind me to avoid that hotel.
