Madden 2004 Question for PC!!

I bought the game today, but on the back it says something about 14 free days of online play...... err.. does this mean after 14 days I have to pay per month???

I don't have the game, but I think so.

If its anything like last years games , you got a free 30 day subscription to the EA Games server to play games (this means you can play all games, such as nba live, nhl 2003, mvp baseball, etc.

I'm not sure how much they charge a month, but I don't think it can be more than $10-15 a month. But let us know if you have anymore information about the game.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I vbelieve thats just for playing on THEIR servers. I believe you can play IP to IP for free.

Such bullshit. On ebgames.com, it said free online play for the PC only. Which is why I bought this game for the PC. 14 free days is nothing. I'm glad I didn't open it yet. Hopefully I can find out more somewhere, and know for sure if it's free or not.

I thought it would be one year free... I'm pretty sure I read it somewhere...

Oh well. I hope someone finds this out

Yeah, I don't see how they can charge you for ip to ip play. But for using their servers, if there are always a ton of quality gamers on, I don't see what the bad deal is, especially if you're really into online games.

I'd like to play online with different people other than the one friend that plays Madden on PC.

However, with going to University, I don't have much time to play... so I'd have to pay like 20 bucks Canadian (or whatever it is), to play a few games a month...

kinda crappy. Especially since I was so sure that it was free this year, since the PC version usually doesn't sell as well as console versions... and I thought this would spark interest.

Just opend the PC version. You get a "PC Game Time(tm) Card" good for a Free Subscription to a season of EA Sports Play Online.

not exactly sure what a season is though.

Yeah, one of my friends opened up his, and we both aren't sure what that means... can't find ANYTHING on the easports site either. hehe.

I am in a position to have the game for both the PC and PS2. Not sure if I will go online with the PC.
